For hair loss, Ayurveda recommends therapies and diet which pacify Pitta and Vata dosha.
Increased Vata dosha can make hair look dry, frizzy and lifeless with dry scalp. Increased Pitta dosha may lead to premature greying of the hair and baldness. Increased Kapha dosha leads to itching and oily scalp.

Indian gooseberry can be blended into a juice along with cucumber. Consume this early in the morning for good results.
Include adequate amounts of oranges, lemons, grapefruits, guava, Indian gooseberry, capsicum and leafy green vegetables in your diet.
Yogurt or buttermilk is an ideal source of probiotics and zinc. Regular intake of buttermilk or yogurt is advised at lunch time. Yogurt can also be applied to hair as a mask along with egg white and lemon juice.
4. Nuts And Dried Fruits
Anemia is one of the major causes of hair loss. Include dried fruits like dates, prunes, raisins and apricots in your diet. These are known to increase hemoglobin.
Almonds, walnuts, flax and sunflower seeds are great source of protein, vitamin E, omega fatty acids, biotin and other minerals. Include these for breakfast for better results.
