Ayurvedic Practitioners Media Exposure Challenge

Ayurvedic Practitioners Media Exposure Challenge

The Ayurveda Experience June 21, 2015

About a month ago I was thinking about Ayurveda’s presence in the world and what it really needs to move forward. Media exposure as well as validation in the scientific community were the most immediate needs that came to my mind.

We are a small group of Ayurveda lovers and many individuals and organizations are doing there part to spread awareness of Ayurveda. But what if we worked together to spread awareness? Could we make a bigger impact in the U.S. if we had a collective, organized effort?

I approached Ayurvedic Practitioner and former PR executive Susan Weis-Bohlen of Baltimore, MD for her opinion.

Here’s what Susan proposed.

Ayurveda Awareness Month

Establishing a national awareness month is a technique used in public relations to bring attention to a cause.

We chose October 2015 as the first ever Ayurveda Awareness Month.

If you’d like help with how to participate, join the Ayurvedic Practitioners Media Exposure Challenge.

This  is a free initiative providing free resources to Ayurvedic practitioners to get media exposure this coming October (and anytime you’d like to). We’ll also provide suggestions and support for regional events and activities.

Free Educational Materials

We’re in the process of preparing several documents to assist you. Sign up to receive the free materials via email or join the Facebook group to stay abreast of the activities.

What will you receive? Here’s the resources we’re working on.

  • How To Contact Your Local Media.
  • A Checklist For Approaching The Media.
  • 7 Article Templates You Can Customize.
  • Monthly Emails With Timely Article Ideas.
  • A List Of Blogs + Websites To Contribute To.
  • What To Pitch To A Television Station.

Please be patient. We’re a team of volunteers!
