If you feel a wave of tightness and inflexibility take over your body after every Yoga workout,
know that you’re not alone!
Hone your fatigued body with this
before you roll out your Yoga mat every day!
Isn’t Yoga supposed to make your body even more flexible? What’s this post-Yoga tightness that we’re talking about? And how to get back on your mat in no time?
For answers to all these questions, read along as we narrate a story that you will relate to if you’re a daily yoga practitioner or even one with an exercise routine...
She came back from her yoga practice – exhilarated – like any other day. But that night, again, she couldn’t ignore the feeling in her limbs....
The next morning – when she had a hard time getting up, feeling inflexible and tight, she decided to take this up with her Ayurvedic practitioner, who was also, not-so-incidentally her Yoga teacher.
She told her she’s eating right, she’s loving her yoga but sometimes she’s taken over with this tightness, a sort of inflexibility in her body... as if the dryness of her skin was seeping into her bones... perhaps it was age... but what can she optimize to make her yoga practice even more rewarding?
Could she bring a change into her routine to feel a little bit more awake, a little bit more ready, to feel more flexible, exuding youth?
This time, her Yoga teacher smiled – she's spent enough time in India learning from an Ayurveda Ashram... she got up, opened her cupboard and took out a half-finished bottle (which, even though was rather used, looked rather pretty!) and handed it over to her.
She said, “Of course you know what Abhyanga or full body massage is, but what I’ve just handed over to you, is quite something else – that you should use for body massage.”
“Oh, okay?! Why’s that? What’s so special about this – isn't it an oil, I’m sure a good one though, since it’s Ayurvedic.”
“Haha... yes yes” She gave a large-dimpled smile and nodded her head up and down almost pensively and went on to say, “Yes, it is Ayurvedic and you may think ‘just an oil’ - but it is no ordinary oil. This oil, called Vyam Yoga Oil – is a special oil made for those who practice yoga, or to be honest, who’re active and like to stay fit more than just physically.
This oil is made of, what is called in Sanskrit, the ‘Prasarini’ herb... Do you know what this word means? It means “that which spreads”... so this creeper herb spreads everywhere, penetrates deeply and infuses your skin with the warm, fiery spirit of life, exuberance and youth.
This is the best support you can offer to anyone who’s already on the path of fitness.
But let me tell you a secret, even for someone who does not enjoy exercise very much but would still like their body to move as they like – daily morning massage with iYURA’s Vyam Yoga oil is a great habit to build! One can feel a similar tightness due to exercise as well as a sedentary lifestyle and this habit is helpful in both cases”
Just as you’d eat healthy to stay fit, to keep your yoga practice strong, you must also feed your skin with the right kind of nutrition to support you on your path to wellness.
She smiled. This sounded like it's exactly what her body needed.
Her Yoga teacher saw the smile on her face and handed her 2 bottles of the herbal formulation. "Here, take one for yourself and one for your daughter as well," she said. "I'm sure she'll love it too. It's an ancient formulation that has been used in Ayurveda for thousands of years and sees no age! Very few have been able to replicate the exact recipe. What you have in your hand is one of such! And guess what? People are very happy with the results."
And this is why we, at The Ayurveda Experience, brought Vyam Yoga Oil to you too!
Ayurveda and Yoga are twins joined at the hip. Without one, the other is never whole.

“Believe every word about this product.
It does work!!!
I have been practicing Yoga for 15 years, yet some days my body doesn't want to stretch or I feel sore the next day. When I read about Yoga Oil I was dubious about such product to help my practice, but I wanted to give it a try and I don't regret it at all. I rub it before my class, especially on those tight spots. It warms up my muscles ... the smell is so relaxing that helps me with focus and concentration. I love this product and I recommend it 100% even if you don't practice Yoga, use it. It makes you feel great.”
“I love this oil. I’m on my 3rd bottle? I think cause I had gifted a recently opened one to a friend cause she loved the way it smelled. But it is beyond the beautiful smell.... I do practice as a Thai massage therapist. But since all this Covid I have moved. During the process of painting cleaning scrubbing driving long distance packing unpacking re arranging and adjusting to a house with multiple floors this is what my body cried for. I was so out of my normal routine then aha! Need to use the oil. So much better and hope to be never without. I’m not saying it takes the aches away...but feel like it supports my body and daily functioning....”
“Divine energy!
I love it! Vyam oil is now a part of my morning routine. This ritual vitalises me spiritually, mentally and physically. There is a noticeable increase in my energy levels and my state of mind is more positive. I feel alive, nurtured and nourished!! And my yoga practise had never been better. Please continue to make this amazing life changing oil available as I don’t think I’ll be able to live without it now I’ve tasted it’s divine magic!”
“Love this oil!
I have found lots of benefits from Vyam Yoga oil! ...although I remain a very active person..., I feel that this yoga oil has helped me tremendously … It has given me more energy on those days that due to weather or just being more off, due to pain, I might not have the get up and go, using this oil over a full year, has definitely helped in that area! And it helps to ground me better in my yoga practice. I would highly recommend this oil to everyone!...”

EXPERT SPEAK: Unfolding the Science of Vyam Yoga Oil as Researched by Ancient Yogic Physicians & Unearthed by iYURA Experts
Vyam Yoga Oil gets its name from ‘Vya-yam’ - the Sanskrit word for exercise. It’s a perfect pre-yoga oil but also works excellently as a body oil for someone who does yoga regularly or desires a physically active life.
This incredibly balancing oil is warming and stimulating. Not only does it gently shake-off laziness, but it also firmly soothes discomfort your body experiences after physical activity.
Massage generally boosts blood circulation, but when done using this oil, it generates a calming warmth that feels relaxing.
For those who know more about the science of Ayurveda, this oil is very Vata-Kapha balancing. Due to its unctuous and Vata pacifying qualities, it supports a firm appearance of the limbs and helps you to move freely.
The oil, due to its 'sara' or 'easily spreading' nature, goes deep into the tissues (or Dhatus) nourishing the bones, tendons, and ligaments.
iYURA Vyam Yoga Oil is the perfect warming oil to prep and ground your body for focused ‘Vyayam’ or exercise, or even to get you set for the day!
Did you Know?
Lack of Flexibility is what holds back 32% of non-yogis from trying out yoga!
However, with Vyam Yoga Oil in your dresser, you are already halfway there!
- That which is in it!
This unique formulation contains powerful Ayurvedic herbs like Himalayan Cedar, Prasarini, Long Pepper, Indian Camphorweed and many more unique ingredients rarely found in oil formulations like Himalayan salt, yogurt and fermented rice gruel which also help to boost the skin tone!
Remember the Korean beauty trend of using rice water? Well, it seems like the Koreans were not the only ones who knew it, a little further south in Asia, Indian physicians were taking it one step further - using fermented rice gruel!
Yes, fermented rice gruel!
This is a sour liquid produced from acetous fermentation of powdered rice.
Not only did that make the oil lighter, but it also gave it the ability to impart a lustrous, glowing complexion.
According to Ayurvedic texts, it also helps in:
Soothing excessive Pitta (the element of fire or heat)
Promoting strength and nourishment
And cleansing the ‘Srotas’ or, what can be roughly translated as ‘channels’
This formulation's utility in balancing both Vata and Kapha doshas (contributors to dryness, stress, chaos, inflexibility, laziness, etc.) has been time-tested across centuries.
Prasarini
Also known as ‘Gandha Prasarini’, Prasarini is an ancient Ayurvedic herb known for its characteristic of offering support to bodies that look tired and wearied out.
If you find yourself in a state of imbalance as you progress through life, this is the herb that you should get your hands on!
Excellent in pacifying Vata and Kapha Doshas, Prasarini is deeply unctuous and is used to solve for skin issues such as dryness. It extends intense moisturisation and helps skin keep away from issues arising out of moisture deprivation.
Himalayan Rock Salt
Also known as ‘Sendha Namak’ in Sanskrit, Himalayan Rock Salt is one of the most important ingredients that makes this Ayurvedic formulation one-of-its-kind.
Himalayan Rock Salt is formed when salt water from a sea or lake evaporates and leaves behind colorful crystals of sodium chloride and excellent for boosting your skin’s health.
Excellent for not only moisturizing your dry skin but also hydrating your skin inside-out, Himalayan Rock Salt is one of the major ingredients that makes the oil what it is!
Sweet Flag
Ayurveda believes that the best quality plants are the ones with a strong smell. And precisely, that’s what defines this particular ingredient. With a strong aroma and roots that resemble ginger rhizome, Ayurvedic science has always found this monocot herb extremely beneficial.
Also known as ‘Vacha’ in Sanskrit, this Ayurvedic herb increases the ‘Sattvic’ (meaning ‘pure essence’) content of the body constitution and energizes the ‘kundalini’ (yoga term: life force at the end of the spine)
With both Vata and Kapha balancing properties, Sweet Flag acts as an excellent moisturizer and keeps skin in the right balance of oiliness and dryness.
Himalayan Cedar
Also known as the ‘Tree of Gods’ in Ayurveda, Himalayan Cedar is a very useful and important medicinal tree in Ayurveda.
The heartwood of this plant contains Terpenoids, Flavonoids and Glycosides as main constituents, which support the body in working efficiently while fighting off stressors.
Trying to revive out of the lethargy of yoga classes can be expensive and time consuming. To add to that, if Vata is imbalanced, finding the flexibility to carry out yoga can turn out to be tougher than expected.
Himalayan Cedar is a Vata-Kapha balancing herb that has an effective approach in solving joint discomfort and body concerns that come to notice as we age.
Long pepper
Coming from the same family as Black Pepper, Long pepper, in Ayurveda is well-known for its cleansing effect.
Long Pepper gives the skin a squeaky clean, non-bumpy, clarifying effect that you’ve always craved for.
All of them cooked in a deeply moisturizing Sesame Seed Oil base
Owing to its perfect balance between linoleic acid an oleic acid, Sesame Oil makes for the perfect base oil for this formulation that supports both dry skin and oily skin and everything in between.
Sesame Oil has made a name for itself in the Ayurvedic world of formulations for its ability to not clog pores or leave a sticky residue behind!
Did you know that it is recommended to use Vitamin E oil for bodily discomfort? Guess what Sesame Seed Oil is rich in – Vitamin E!
...And many other interesting, value-adding ingredients!

Before you roll out your yoga mat, practice this -
Work your way from the top of the body down. Use circular strokes on the joints and long strokes on the limbs, massaging in the direction of the body hair. Massage the belly in large, clockwise circles, and pay special attention to the soles of the feet. Be liberal with your oil usage. After massaging, allow the oil to penetrate while you practice yoga; then wash off.
Self-abhyanga takes about five minutes; but if you have more time, take your time! The body really benefits from it. If, on the other hand, you’re pressed for time, at least massage your feet.
After your yoga practice, soon after you finish taking a shower, pump Vyam Yoga oil into your palm and apply rigorously on your body and limbs. You may reapply if needed. Continue the process for the next 5-10 minutes. You may feel a comforting surge of moisture spread through.
If you applied excess oil, you may wipe if off with a wet hot towel.
Hear what Vyam lovers say!
“Useful...after some pilates workouts!
Peppery smell at first which reduces as it warms and gets into my sore muscles. Great product!”
Most beautiful oil
“Love this oil. Warms up beautifully on application and makes tired joints feel renewed.”
Yoga oil
“I have enjoyed using this product for yoga prep. I do one pump and usually rub along stomach, low back, neck and arms...I switch it up at times also. The unique smell sets an olfactory experience. I think it does increase mental focus and warmth to areas applied topically.”
my experience
“not only was the oil a wonderful product and of excellent quality, I found that just noticing it sitting on my bathroom shelf prompted me to pamper my joints more often even if I wasn't going to yoga! Thank you”
