  • Rediscover your youthful, beautiful, delightful self in just 5 indulging steps of Ayurvedic _________

Master the ways in which the time-tested Ayurvedic massage practices can help you get clear-looking, moisturized, beautiful skin and let you retain and maintain enviable vim, vigor and vitality!

Ayurveda's Best Kept Secret For Rejuvenated, Youthful looking skin.

Did you know that by following simple Ayurvedic practices, you can gift yourself those prized massage sessions that you can't get enough of? And that too, without even having to visit a spa or hiring a masseuse.

    1. Pay attention to the formula and not just the promise - Avoid simplistic oil formulations that come at a hefty price. You will find many versions of essential oils, carrier oils that do different things but you need to do your research before you give into a simplistic formulation that may not require high investment. Depending on the source of the ingredients, simple face oils can be expensive too (like saffron or high quality rose oil) but ensure that the ingredients used are actually worth the expenditure, and if so, then why.

    2. Read all the ingredients and be sure that there are no preservatives - because oil IS a preservative - You will find many face oils, particularly those that claim to be 'non-oily' and 'non-sticky' that are hardly oils. Often these are liquids with tiny portions of natural extracts and large portions of thinners and other non-natural bases as well as preservatives. Now, one big reason behind switching to oils (in addition to their superior moisturizing power as compared to creams) is going natural. The very purpose is defeated if you're still having to resort to chemicals. A truly natural, effective oil wouldn’t add things that would need a preservative, oils by themselves have a good shelf-life and should not be diluted by anything like silicon, parabens, petroleum distillates and should definitely not contain -  Propylene Glycol (commonly found in creams AND the plastics industry!), Phthalates (Fragrance) etc. Pthalates are particularly rampant in beauty products but is avoidable if you choose fragrance-free products like Manjish Glow Elixir or those that naturally have a pleasant aroma or contain essential oils only like iYURA Kesaradi Day Oil.

BTW- It has been found that phthalates are connected with bioaccumulation, meaning their entrapment within the body is everlasting! Potential problems associated with Pthalates includes endocrine disruption, reproductive toxicity, neurotoxicity, organ toxicity and neurological conditions! Enough reason to avoid Pthalates or artificial fragrance?!

What’s marma and what is this therapy all about?

What’s marma and what is this therapy all about?

To get to that, we must first begin to think about a couple of critical questions.

    Can “life” be localized?
Can you point toward the exact spot in your body that houses the crucial ‘life’ force?

Well, the science of Ayurveda beautifully integrates the factual and philosophical discourse about (the location of) “life”  through the sensory concept of marma points.

Where are marmas found and what do they do?

Where are marmas found and what do they do?

According to Ayurveda, the body houses 107 hidden seats of “life” or “Jeeva” in the form of Marma points or ‘marmas’. While some may define marma points as casual connection of tissues and fluids, Ayurvedic experts would assert that these are much more than just that.

These are vital seats of ‘life’, best described as “prana”- the absolute basis behind all physical and psychological processes. Similar to acupuncture or the martial arts, these marmas evoke specific reactions on subtle stimulation.

Renowned Ayurvedic practitioners believe that these marma points can be used as ‘pranic’ buttons or switches to modify the level of prana that sits on various locations throughout the body. Marma points need adjustment, stimulation or manipulation to clear blockages, enhance energy, and facilitate a free flow of life force or “prana”.

Most massages become effective when marma therapy is used with aromatic or herbal oils. During a massage, when the marma points are rubbed, pressured, fomented, or stimulated with oil, they smile and open up. Such a massage also cleanses any negativity that gets stored in the marmas and infuses them with light, glow, and all things nice. Most Ayurvedic facials and spa treatments work on this principle.
When massage your face/body using the appropriate herbal oil - you welcome long-term wellness and beauty into your life.
