I tried this on a whim bc I was pretty happy with the iYura hair oils I already use, and IT IS AMAZING! I did not buy any other products from this collection, and I don't use it overnight, I shower before bed so I put it on when I'm done with work/outside errands for the day so at least an hour before washing my hair, often more like 4-5 hours. I like how thick and creamy it is, it makes it much easier to apply than the oils - I find they can drip if I'm not careful and it's harder to grab more if I have to use a dropper or a pump vs just dipping my fingers into the pot with this one. It spreads easily on my lengths and doesn't goop my hair into clumps so I can still comb it after applying. I actually really loved the smell of this! It definitely has that sharp-ish amla oil smell underneath the initial smell coming off it, it smells kind of earthy/herby, but I used amla oil plain years ago so I am used to the smell and do not find it unpleasant. This mask has a fresh "beachy" smell to it, I don't know how to explain but it smells a little like mild sunblock lotion and smells really good to me! It feels calming and comforting. I wash my hair as usual after applying, shampoo 1-2 times and then condition. I use a hair serum after and let it air dry. This mask makes my hair super soft and silky. I used the same serum as usual and I had less frizz with more more shine after. Adding this to my rotation for sure!
I love all the Ayurveda experience products they carry by I found this mask, and the shampoo as well, not to work for my hair. It it very drying. The smell is a little off putting too reminding me of powdered make-up caked at the bottom of my grandmothers purse. Hopefully it will work for others.
