100-Times Washed Ghee or 'Shata-Dhauta-Ghee' is known to be the mother of ointments and is an excellent choice to replace a soothing creme that improves the appearance of patchy skin
What it does:
Deeply conditions skin, reduces the look of wrinkles, fine lines and dark spots, and adds radiance
But why has Ghee been washed 100 times?
Cow Ghee or Clarified Butter is whisked with distilled water, while replacing the used water with a fresh lot. This removes ALL its impurities, incorporates water molecules into it and splits the large fat particles into small. Petroleum jelly may make some skin conditions worse. After an injury, the skin naturally forms a protective film, which helps prevent further damage and infection. It also interferes with the formation of this film.
Clogging pores is another thing that Petroleum jelly does. While some of its versions promise not to clog the pores, what it definitely does is cause skin to react and cause breakouts by forming a especially when it's used regularly. Which is why it's also suggested that people with acne or sensitive skin should not use petroleum jelly on acne-prone areas like the face.
Did you know that Petroleum Jelly is also flammable? Always store it a cool and dry environment and avoid using or exposing it near fires, when smoking or near other open flames.
