    • Include salads, greens and bitter gourds in your meals
    • Rising early will be good for you 
    • Black pepper, nutmeg, long pepper, dried ginger and fenugreek pacify Kapha 
    • For water retention, cumin seeds, barley and dandelion or punarnava roots are useful 
    • Bitters like neem and astringents like triphala may also be used if Kapha is aggravated. 
    • Dry powder massage or a dry towel massage in the direction opposite to the growth of your body hair, half an hour before a warm water bath, twice or thrice a week will help with water retention 
    • EXERCISE daily 
    • 'Bhastrika', 'agnisaar' and 'kapal bhati' pranayama (breath exercises) are invigorating for your mind
