    Triphala is a well-recognized and revered poly-herbal medicine, consisting of the dried fruits of three-plant species - Amalaki (or Amla) or Indian Gooseberry (Emblica officinalis), Haritaki or Chebulic Myrobalan (Terminalia chebula), and Bibhitaki or Belliric Myrobalans (Terminalia belerica). There were also a significant reduction in total cholesterol, triglycerides, total protein, and elevation of high density lipoprotein cholesterol.
